Snacks for Keto Living

Keto is a new way of eating and as such you will need some new sources of snacks and goodies to keep you on track.  In this post I will give you a few of my favorites and where I have picked them up in the past.

  • Pork Rinds – Can find basic flavors at local grocery and find more on various online retailers or Asian stores.
  • Cello Cheese Whisp – Costco has had large bags in the past and I have found small bags at Walmart.  This is one of my favorites.
  • Unsalted Almonds – Buy them in bulk at Costco.  Try to keep to 1 – 2 servings per day.
  • Macadamia nuts – Best nut you can have with good fat.  Buy them at Costco to take some of the price sting away.
  • Almond Flour – Costco has had large bags.  This goes into all my baking needs.
  • MCT Oil – I get this from Amazon.  See below for link and my article on oils and fats.
  • MCT Powder – I get this from Amazon.  See below for link and my article on oils and fats.
  • Coffee – When I do intermittent fasting this is my breakfast.  Black of course or maybe a bit of MCT powder.
  • Tea – Don’t go and add sugar or honey.
  • Eggs – Eat it all, well ok not the shell, buy you get the point.
  • Red Wine – Limit this but if you like beer you will have to cut that way way back due to the carbs.
  • Swerve confectioners sweetener – This is my favorite sweetener that is keto friendly.  I get it from Amazon.  See my future post on sugars and baking to find uses.

  1. Thanks for getting this going, David! Great info. Why Swerve confection sugar ilo regular Swerve sugar? Just curious… and I just ordered a 3-pack of regular from Amazon!

    1. Hi Pam,

Thanks for the comment. I use the confection version a lot since it is basically like power sugar. So I can use it to sweeten full fat greek yogurt or other items that I can’t or don’t what to heat up in order to dissolve other more granular types of sweetners. I have yet to use the other Swerve products so let me know how they work in things like baking.

      Thanks
      David
